Case Study: Implementing the Google Tools Suite for Second Layer by Falsezero
INTRODUCTION
In the Spring of 2022, Falsezero collaborated with the Los Angeles-based clothing label, Second Layer, to enhance their data analysis and online marketing efforts. The challenge was to implement an effective suite of digital tools that would enable Second Layer to understand customer behavior, improve decision-making, and drive growth. Following a careful assessment of available tools, we decided on Google's suite of tools including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio and Google Ads.
THE CHALLENGE
Second Layer, while having a robust online presence, had gaps in their understanding of customer behavior, resulting in missed opportunities for sales and engagement. OUR SOLUTION

- Google Analytics: This tool tracked user behavior on Second Layer's website, from which pages they visited, to how long they spent on site, to what they clicked. The data was invaluable for informing Second Layer's sales strategies and website design.
- Google Tag Manager: We used this to manage and deploy marketing tags without having to modify the code. It also helped to track specific events like form submissions, button clicks and product interactions.
- Google Data Studio: Using Google Data Studio, we created informative, easy-to-read reports and visual dashboards that updated in real-time. This enabled Second Layer to have a quick and complete overview of their metrics at a glance.
- Google Ads: Finally, we employed Google Ads to target potential customers with advertising specific to their interests, greatly increasing conversion rates.
RESULTS AND OUTCOME
The implementation of the Google Tools Suite drastically improved Second Layer's ability to make informed decisions.
